Steve and I love our weekend brunch and bloody marys. I’m a fan of them spicy when Steven prefers them mild with full flavors. Either way, we both aren’t fans of the plain jane bloodys. When I visited my sister in Portland I was in love with the many flavors of infused vodkas restaurants had to offer for their bloodys. This infused vodka is full of savory and spicy flavors, just the way we like it!
Bloody Mary Vodka Infusion
5 strips of bacon, cook until crispy and let cool
1 small bunch of cilantro
6 cherry tomatoes, cut in half
3 serrano chile peppers, cut in half lengthwise, seeded
1 jalapeño, cut in half lengthwise, seeded
good quality vodka
Place cooked bacon, cilantro, tomatoes and peppers in glass container. Poor enough vodka where all ingredients are covered.
Seal tight and place in refrigerator for five days. The longer the vodka infuses, the spicier it will taste which is great because you want it to be a little extra spicy since the bloody mary mix will mellow it out.
